In 2018, 8 artists gather together and produce a collective exhibition with a view to exploring the concepts of the infinite and artistic abstraction. In pursuit of ongoing questioning about their work, the artists also question contemporary society in relation to issues and topics of crucial social relevance.

Exposição Colectiva A.K.A – Who is Who? é um projeto desenvolvido em parceria pela Galeria Funarte e pelo artista 2CarryOn para o Colégio Maria Pia, que pretende enriquecer o debate em torno da arte urbana: sobre o seu estatuto e sobre o estatuto dos autores. Estes, muitas vezes, recorrem a um segundo nome para apresentar o seu trabalho, facto que reforça o carácter misterioso da sua identidade. Por que o fazem? Quem são? Talvez a concretização desta exposição ajude a responder a estas questões. Esta iniciativa tem, antes de mais, uma natureza pedagógica: é concretizada para e com os alunos do Colégio Maria Pia. O propósito é, através desta colaboração, contribuir para a formação e divulgação de jovens artistas, que desafiámos a desconstruírem o seu trabalho, trazendo até à galeria uma mostra work in progress (W.I.P.), revelando um pouco mais sobre quem são e sobre o seu processo criativo. QUAL É A TUA IDENTIDADE?
Collective Exhibition A.K.A – Who is Who? is a project developed in partnership by Funarte Gallery and the artist 2CarryOn to the College Maria Pia, which aims to enrich the discussion about urban art: on their status and the status of the authors. These, often choose to a second name to present their work, which enhances the mysterious character of their identity. Why do you do? Who are they? Perhaps the realization of this exhibition will help to answer these questions. This initiative is, first of all, a pedagogical nature: it is implemented for and with the students of the Maria Pia – Casa Pia College. The aim is, through this collaboration, contribute to the formation and promotion of young artists, who we defied to de-constructing their work, bringing to the gallery a show work in progress (WIP), revealing a little more about who they are and about his creative process. WHAT’S YOUR IDENTITY?
The Funarte Gallery, in partnership with Isabel Perdigão, offers the (re) discovery of a major Portuguese artist, Álvaro Perdigão (n. 1910 Setúbal/ d. 1994 Lisbon).
This new exhibition named ARTE, ARTíFICE E ARTEFACTOS gathers an important selection of works from the artists’ huge legacy, as well as a set of instruments which played a major role in his daily work: easels, brushes, palettes, engraving material.
The exhibition also holds on a display of artwork which recriates Álvaro Perdigão’s canvases, commissioned by Paul Neberra and designed by young artists, like 2CarryOn, MAMB, Mihaela Popa, and many others…
ART, ARTIFICE AND HANDCRAFTS
Artisans usually descend from a long family tradition, devoted over many years to the production of an art. We know generations of musicians. Or manufacturers of musical instruments, leather handcraft workers who make boots or saddles for riding horses, bookbinders, wine producers and many others.
As far as we know, Álvaro Perdigão was not born in a family with any previous artistic tradition. But he discovered early enough his talent and showed it to the public. And it went on, and never stopped. He presented numerous collective and individual exhibitions.
In and an interview to «Jornal Horizonte», in 1947, when the journalist asked: «What are the motives for your paintings?», the answer was: «Several, different, quiet, inoffensive, unpredictable, and as far as possible, I aim to be understood by common people.»
In this context, he found his themes in his daily surroundings: nature, constructions and deconstructions, a multitude of daily objects, work instruments of different crafts, and people.
A Galeria Funarte, em parceria com Isabel Perdigão, apresenta a (re)descoberta de um grande artista Português, Álvaro Perdigão (n. 1910 Setúbal / d., 1994 Lisboa).
Esta nova exposição chamada Arte, Artifíce e Artefactos reúne uma importante seleção de obras de enorme legado do artista, bem como um conjunto de instrumentos que desempenharam um papel importante no seu trabalho diário: cavaletes, pincéis, paletas, material de gravação.
A exposição acolhe também um conjunto de peças de arte, que recria o universo de Álvaro Perdigão, especialmente criadas para a exposição, pelos jovens artistas: 2CarryOn, MAMB e Mihaela Popa, convidados por Paul Neberra.
Arte, Artifíce e Artefactos
Os artesãos geralmente descendem de uma longa tradição familiar, dedicada ao longo de muitos anos para a produção de uma arte. Conhecemos gerações de músicos. Ou fabricantes de instrumentos musicais, trabalhadores de artesanato de couro que fazem botas ou selas para cavalos de sela, encadernadores, produtores de vinho e muitos outros.
Tanto quanto sabemos, Álvaro Perdigão não nasceu numa família com tradição artística. Mas ele, cedo, descobriu o seu talento e mostrou-o ao público. Prosseguiu, e nunca mais parou. Apresentou inúmeras exposições colectivas e individuais.
Nma entrevista ao «Jornal Horizonte», em 1947, quando o jornalista perguntou: «Quais são os motivos para seus quadros», a resposta foi: «Vários, diferente, Quieto, inofensivo, imprevisível, e, tanto quanto possível, Eu pretendo ser compreendido por pessoas comuns ».
Neste contexto, ele encontrou o seu tema nas suas rotinas diárias: natureza, construções e desconstruções, uma infinidade de objetos do cotidiano, instrumentos de trabalho dos diferentes ofícios, e as pessoas.
SUBHUM3TRIC is the title found for the first Visual Arts Exhibition, held under BENFICARTE project, which brings together a diverse set of visual artists, with the mission to form, light and color to issues related to subversidade of human experience.
The world of Visual Arts is so vast and abstract, as the patent on the concept challenge that we launched this wide range of artists. We gathered 14 styles in an exhibition where the geometry and the human-spatial relationship are illustrated in a metamorphosis that repel subversive ideas as consumerism, instilled in erotismos and values. Become part of this universe!

Desenvolvimento dos elementos de comunicação para a Exposição Colectiva de Ilustração – Type the Message – uma Mostra de ilustração tipográfica, em que se pretende passar a mensagem através de tipografia ilustrativa. Num ambiente onde a animação irá estar garantida numa constante troca de mensagens entre amigos, onde as até SMS vão andar no ar… Atomik Kid 196*, EU aka Pedro Barroso, Czar, Bamby, Las Cucarachas, Spray Lover 1986, The Caver e 2 Carry On foram os Ilustradores convidados para este primeira sessão. A noite de inauguração contou ainda com as especiais participações de Dj Nemmitt (Dj Set) & Radiosilis (Live Act).
A organização desta exposição esteve a cargo de 2 Carry On, tendo participado como um dos ilustradores presentes na mostra, assumindo também o design oficial da exposição. 2 Carry On desenvolveu a tipografia do evento, fotografia e video, bem como o acompanhamento na divulgação e promoção deste evento.

In an environment where the animation will be guaranteed a constant exchange of messages between friends, where the SMS will ride up in the air … Atomik 196 * Kid, EU aka Pedro Barroso , Czar, Bamby, Las Cucarachas, Spray Lover 1986 The Caver and 2 Carry On were the guest Illustrators for this first session. The opening night also featured the special participation of Nemmitt Dj (Dj Set) & Radiosilis (Live Act).
The organization of this exhibition was in charge of 2 Carry On, participated as one of the illustrators present on the show, assuming also the official design of the exhibition. 2 Carry On developed the typography, photography and video, as well as monitoring the dissemination and promotion of this event.

In issue No. 2086 of REVISTA, complement in Expresso newspaper of 20 October 2012, was presented an article titled “Quando o povo sai á rua”, an article that discusses chronologically the different artistic interventions enveloped in the culture of protest in Portugal. This article gives special attention to recent intervention “Herói é o Povo”, held on 13 October 2012, at the Plaza of Spain, because of cultural manifestation “Que se lixe a Troika”.

A cidade de Setúbal ficou ainda mais atrativa, esta é a promessa da iniciativa “Setúbal Mais Bonita”, promovida pelo Câmara Municipal de Setúbal e apoiada pela EDP. Ao longo dos últimos anos têm sido realizadas diversas intervenções na cidade, a fim de revitalizar a imagem urbana de Setúbal.
2 Carry On foi convidado a realizar intervenções artísticas em algumas das caixas de electricidade presentes na Avenida Luísa Todi. Com a Arrábida como fundo temático destas intervenções, comemorou-se desta forma a entrada da Serra da Arrábida para título de Património Imaterial da Humanidade, pela UNESCO.
The city of Setúbal became even more attractive, this is the promise of the “Setúbal Mais Bonita”, promoted by the Municipality of Setúbal and supported by the EDP. Over the past years have been made several interventions in the city in order to revitalize the urban image of Setúbal.
2 Carry On was invited to perform artistic interventions in some cases electricity present in Luisa Todi Avenue. With Arrábida as thematic fund these interventions, celebrated in this way the entrance to the Capuchin Convent to title Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

This Video Shows Our work in city of Caldas da Rainha, very closed to Lisbon. We were invited to perform décor furniture in Caldas da Rainha. The invitation was made by the Junta de Freguesia de Nossa Senhora do Pópulo, in the briefing presented it was crucial that the decor communicate with the population and trasmitisse messages related to ecology and conservation of natural resources, based on the cleaning of the city and recycle. This work has been totally handmade.
